Synthetic Greases AMSOIL Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lithium Complex Grease (GLC) is the grease of choice in high temperature/ high speed applications, such as wheel bearings and electric motors. A synthetic-based lithium complex extreme-pressure grease, GLC helps greased systems run cooler and more efficiently than they do with conventional greases, maintains its protective consistency in high temperatures and provides a chemical barrier against wear in high load operations. Recently reformulated, GLC now protects at greater loads than it did previously, as indicated by its improved Load Wear Index and Timken score. GLC's improved Viscosity Index shows it protects over a broader temperature range. In fact, its broad temperature range of applicability often allows use of GLC in place of separate high and low temperature greases, while its pumpability makes it ideal for use in automotive greasing systems. GLC's improved thermal and oxidative stability give the grease a longer service life. GLC offers dependable protection in high temperature operations and may be used at higher temperatures than other greases may be. Its outstanding oxidation resistance allows GLC to withstand the rigors of enduring high temperature operation without forming performance-robbing deposits. AMSOIL Heavy Duty Synthetic Lithium Complex Grease with Moly (GHD) is the grease of choice in low speed/high load applications, such as heavy-duty steering knuckles and front axle shafts. A synthetic-based lithium complex extreme-pressure grease fortified with moly, GHD offers the film strength, shear resistance and mechanical stability essential to the protection of heavily loaded components ― and a protective shield of molybdenum to take the brunt of excessive loads so lubricated surfaces don't. And, since it's synthetic-based GHD helps systems run cooler and more efficiently than they can with conventional greases. Recently reformulated, GHD now carries even greater loads than before, as shown by its greater Load Wear Index and Timken score. GHD also has greater thermal and oxidative stability for a longer service life and dependable protection at higher temperatures. AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease (GWR) is the grease of choice in applications with frequent water exposure, such as the wheel bearings in boat trailers and tow vehicles. A new additive technology enables GWR to resist water displacement and degradation. The grease offers superb cohesion and adhesion: it holds together and clings to metal parts when wet, even when wetted by pressurized stream of water. In fact, testing shows GWR loses 47 percent less mass to water spray-off and 43 percent less mass to water washout than other greases do.
